I woke up at 5am to what sounded like a toilet running....stepped out of our bedroom into soggy carpet and this is what we found when we came into our living room! More photos and details will be posted on Kindredly probably tonight. Oh, the joys of homeownership! I'm stressed to no end, but we're hopeful things will work out and not cost more than our $1,000 deductible.

I'm pretty sure this photo can qualify for Sunday. I don't think I broke the camera out until after midnight. We took the pups up to Andrea's house in Brookhaven last night and had a recession-friendly get-together! Cornhole, drinks and great company is a really great way to beat being broke!

Me and Julie outside of Bonefish in Macon. She's my "Milledgeville Mom." When I was in college, she kind of took me under her wing...gave me jobs and a place to go if I needed to get away but not leave town. I am not loving this picture, Julie...I'm looking a little...um....frumpy in this dress (hence the croppage), and I've already made a mental note to NOT wear it again. Either way, I had a great time with you and can't wait to do it again!

We've just returned from our Mexican dinner. Very large Texas margarita and two very large cervezas.

This is a reminder that Kindredly is still up and running. Posts are happening, yet readers are not. Go there. Read. Take the wine...just don't spill (don't be rough about the red wine glass holding white wine. It's been a long day).

And no that little munchkin off to the right isn't getting fed tonight. She ate Marley's leftover bowl from this morning....She was up to no good because the food was on the counter...hmmm........

My little sweethearts are all about mommy when I get home. Notice Marley carrying around daddy's shirt that will probably end up in the back yard before the night's over. Ahh....I love my little furry family.

Cutting the grass for something like the 5th time in a week??? He only has himself to blame because he thought high dollar golf course fertilizer was a great idea in April. At least I know I can count on my hubby to keep our yard looking hawt.

August 9

Two photos today of my war wound. The top is my cut in all it's disgusting and rather painful (for it's size) glory. I smacked myself so hard, the corkscrew might have interfered with brain function. The second photo is of my war wound properly clothed, in Miss H.K. herself! I suppose I can't really get away with this at work, so it's just an at home thing. Hopefully this thing will be scabbed over and healing soon. I'll be purchasing my first Mederma tube this week.

August 6

I met Mom for dinner last night at Taco Mac. She took the photo with her camera then went home and fell asleep! I'm a day behind on my pictures, and chances are I won't have one at all today, tomorrow or Sunday as I'm going out of town and don't have my camera.

Mom's feeling much better today, but still not 100%. She was actually up working this morning, so I'm guessing for her to be doing that, she was feeling ok enough. She has a massage scheduled for 1:30, and she's giving it the weekend to see how she's feeling. By Monday, she'll either hopefully be better or she's going back to the doctor. Please keep her in your prayers!

Dinner at my grandparents was awesome! We're going to try to get over there every other week for as long as my grandmother will cook for us. Here's me with my grandparents baby girl, Jazzie-Jasmine. She's precious and loooooooves me!

My new "do". I went to Hair Smithsonian in McDonough, and I have to say, I'm quite pleased. Morgan had me in and out in a flash with hair that should keep me happy for the next two weeks....I thought since she did a good job on the bangs, I'd try her out for a "real" haircut and let her trim my frizzy, fried ends.

Jonathan threatened to cut all of his hair off if I came home with blunt cut bangs....these have a nice little "swoop" don't you think?

August 3

Right now, my life is work, husband, dogs. As a result, all of my photos will be of husband and dogs. Work doesn't photograph well...

Jonathan's birthday gift from the dogs (and me).

"Mutisse" was painted by Steven Schumann, a Savannah artist, who I met while I was visiting Morgan. He paints all of his animals, and this was his beagle when he was a pup. I had to have it, so instead of the $2,000 ginormous canvas he really wanted me to buy, I went for the print and had it framed for JG's birthday. He loved it, and it's now at home on our back wall in the living room. Jonathan took the camera tonight, so I had to take it with my POS phone. Sorry for the bad color quality.
