August 9

Two photos today of my war wound. The top is my cut in all it's disgusting and rather painful (for it's size) glory. I smacked myself so hard, the corkscrew might have interfered with brain function. The second photo is of my war wound properly clothed, in Miss H.K. herself! I suppose I can't really get away with this at work, so it's just an at home thing. Hopefully this thing will be scabbed over and healing soon. I'll be purchasing my first Mederma tube this week.

August 6

me and mom

I met Mom for dinner last night at Taco Mac. She took the photo with her camera then went home and fell asleep! I'm a day behind on my pictures, and chances are I won't have one at all today, tomorrow or Sunday as I'm going out of town and don't have my camera.

Mom's feeling much better today, but still not 100%. She was actually up working this morning, so I'm guessing for her to be doing that, she was feeling ok enough. She has a massage scheduled for 1:30, and she's giving it the weekend to see how she's feeling. By Monday, she'll either hopefully be better or she's going back to the doctor. Please keep her in your prayers!

Dinner at my grandparents was awesome! We're going to try to get over there every other week for as long as my grandmother will cook for us. Here's me with my grandparents baby girl, Jazzie-Jasmine. She's precious and loooooooves me!

look away! look away!!

My new "do". I went to Hair Smithsonian in McDonough, and I have to say, I'm quite pleased. Morgan had me in and out in a flash with hair that should keep me happy for the next two weeks....I thought since she did a good job on the bangs, I'd try her out for a "real" haircut and let her trim my frizzy, fried ends.

Jonathan threatened to cut all of his hair off if I came home with blunt cut bangs....these have a nice little "swoop" don't you think?

August 3

Right now, my life is work, husband, dogs. As a result, all of my photos will be of husband and dogs. Work doesn't photograph well...

Jonathan's birthday gift from the dogs (and me).

"Mutisse" was painted by Steven Schumann, a Savannah artist, who I met while I was visiting Morgan. He paints all of his animals, and this was his beagle when he was a pup. I had to have it, so instead of the $2,000 ginormous canvas he really wanted me to buy, I went for the print and had it framed for JG's birthday. He loved it, and it's now at home on our back wall in the living room. Jonathan took the camera tonight, so I had to take it with my POS phone. Sorry for the bad color quality.
